The year 2020 has not been the best year for most of the world. The coronavirus outbreak has started havoc which is out of control & predicting when this will end is difficult at this point of time. With problems piling up of one upon the other, the way always seems to be bleak & many people get discouraged about their future. What a person can do during this time when everything is lost?. In my opinion, the best way to deal is to try once again; but, it is harder than said. Many times situations like this will come; when things are not perfect, but like a warrior, one should try it for one more time. There are always many perspectives to an object & it depends on you to choose that suits your growth. Our mind gets filled with negative thoughts very easily & it takes lots of effort to only allow positive thoughts & during these times, having a positive thought is a hard task indeed. Yet, the only favor you can do to yourself is to think positively. Choose to fight rather than to quit & encourage yourself to imagine a positive future. The moment when you find positives in life & you will feel amazed to see there is always some positive thoughts or quotes during the hour of the need as if some powerful entity is looking for your well being. Maybe the God you were looking for.
But, to build a positive mindset, one should build something, read something or upgrade existing skills & not having a job may be the blessing in the disguise you were looking for. There are many examples of people who started some business while not on the job. You may or may not be among such league but you will surely learn something out of it & that will help you in the future. Sometimes business is not about money, the internet has opened a lot of previously unimaginable avenues. You can start a youtube channel, an Instagram account, a Facebook fan page, a blog & so on. The opportunities are numerous, just an intent is needed to overcome obstacles & do something. Even when every door you perceived is closed, there is always a small opening that is there for you. So, being ready for that moment to shine is the best way to spend this free time. Always remember like everything else this shall too pass you just need to keep your faith intact.
Always remember losing a job, may or may not be your fault. And remembering this shall be great in building both your career & life. You might have lost a job due to loss in a business company not having enough funding, no market for your business, etc. All these factors may be the reason for laying off which is not entirely your fault. Thus, it is recommended not to doubt your abilities & utilize this time to sharpen your blend edges. If you are good enough, you will eventually break through some walls. A few years back I have read a post, that was about how to get a job I want. It was a fantastic post considering it taught me how easy cracking a job is, if you are good enough for that. Sometimes you are not good enough & rather than taking this to your ego, take this feedback to improve upon yourself. After getting feedback about your work, work on improving your shortcomings. This is the best you can do. However, always remember you can only do your part & results are not in your hand. They may vary with the situation & many times you will be frustrated with it.
but you will be in a better position to deal with. So, don’t judge your efforts by the results but the steps you have taken to improve yourself.
Maintaining motivation is very hard as it is hard to fake something. Still, you have to find things that you like & imagine the goals you want to achieve. Once you can imagine your goals, you will get the much-required push to sprint towards your goals. Hence, it is said to write down your goals, as it will keep you reminding about the place you want to go & if you try from your heart, the chances of achieving it will be very fair. Don’t let distractions grab your goals.
By now you will be amazed to see how losing a job can be a blessing in disguise & God gives you those small opportunities when the world is not all green. God is in those dreams, that is not letting you sleep & keeping you on your toes. Thus, now is the time to work & follow your dreams. It might not be all sunny but, once you achieve what you are seeking, you will be ecstatic. Happiness does not always come from following your passions. But, sometimes it comes by performing your best & enjoying the struggles.

In my free time, I like to read poetry. “Stopping By Woods On A Snowy Evening” by Robert Frost is my favorite poem.
‘Method To My Madness’ is a concoction of poems which aims at presenting life as it is. Each poem signifies a story we walked past and perhaps, didn’t notice. And each story has been delicately crafted by me after engaging in conversations with countless people. These are real stories, with real feelings and real experiences. These stories aim to set off various emotions within the reader, from the spectrum of happy to sad to anger and at times, simply contemplating life.
This book is a product of my observation and inquisitive nature.
This book was a two-year personal project for me where the main objective was to understand people from different walks of life and experience how they see the world. I hope that the numerous conversations I had with these people aid me in my long-term goal of becoming a good mental health professional and a good human being as well.
The most difficult part of writing this book was to analyse the stories objectively and be as true to them as possible. None of the stories were distorted for achieving poetic effects.

Bitcoin is a peer to peer currency that is not governed by any government or central authority. As nobody looks after it, no one to manipulate it or print it or to control it. Many people consider Bitcoin as digital gold, which is an astonishing feat to achieve considering it was invented only in 2009.

India has a lot of unorganized sectors & when more than 50% of the population is below the poverty line, not everyone is connected with the banks & there is still a basic problem of transactions. Some people don’t get the desired amount & some are not all connected & even if connected the process of transferring money takes ages to reach the recipients. Hence a robust banking system is the need of an hour. Not only in the finance but land revenue records, census, food chain & logistic. Blockchain can be a valuable aspect that India is looking for. Bitcoin is proved to be a successful blockchain application that only solves financial markets. However, soon every industry will use blockchain in some form or the other.
India a country with more than 50% of the population is below the poverty line & uneducated as well. Bitcoin to succeed will take time in fact it might take decades. However, India has adopted fast to new technology & if they will find it useful, the adoption time might reduce substantially. But, it is for sure India won’t be the earliest country to adopt to cryptocurrency & blockchain. So, before India sees a massive adoption it needs to educate about this & let them decide. If they want a decentralized trustless system or a central system that can dictate how they should live.
What Is Bitcoin?
Bitcoin is a network that allows one to transact with the other in a trustless fashion & recording the transaction on the open ledger known as Blockchain. (b)itcoin is the reward for making transactions in the (B)itcoin protocol.
So, simply, Bitcoin with capital B is a railway network, bitcoin with small b is a fee that you get to use to the network & coaches that are connected together is the blockchain, an open ledger book (keeps incoming & outgoing records) that can be viewed by anyone who has downloaded Bitcoin protocol.
Bitcoin protocol was developed by Satoshi Nakamoto (the real identity is still unknown). Bitcoin was developed after the financial crisis of 2008; when the world melts down due to recession because of a failed banking system. A robust financial system was very much required & bitcoin was invented to solve this void. People lost faith in governance & its ability to deal with economic meltdown due to greedy bankers. Since bitcoin inception, people laughed it out as a Ponzi scheme. But, a decade later some views have shifted to the other side & they will a trustless decentralized system worked better than the existing financial system. Thus, it is gaining popularity among the crowd.
Why bitcoin is currency?
Currency is the value that one believes in. In simple words, you accept 10 Rs note because you believe that the value of that paper is 10 Rs & government backs the assumption. Similarly, bitcoin derives its value because people believe it is worth something. Till 1971 fiat currency was backed by Gold. However, in the same year, Nixon ended gold backing of US dollars & because the US dollar was the most stable & power currency during that time, the rest of the countries pegged their currency to the dollar. What if the US dollar is not a sustainable currency? If the US dollar fails than most of the world currency will collapse. Gold is one of the alternates. Gold has many properties that made it the most valuable asset for the transaction & thus countries hoard Gold in their reserves for rainy days. The following are some of the properties because of which Gold is the most valuable asset in the world & how bitcoin in its short timespan is competing with it & maybe beating it.
Scarce:
The scarce the asset, the valuable it is. Gold’s total supply is yet to be known. On the other hand, bitcoin has limited supply for 21 million & the last bitcoin will be mined around 2140.
Store of value:
Gold has a store of value as it is recognized by all & as its value is determined by the available supply. Although bitcoin is yet to be recognized by all. It is in the process of the same & with mass adoption, this will also change very rapidly.
Divisible:
As gold is malleable it can be divided into smaller units & each unit will hold its value. Similarly, bitcoin can be divided into smaller units & the smallest unit is known as a satoshi. Thus, the smallest unit is 0.00,00,001
Portable:
Money can be carried out from one place to another. Physical gold is not satisfying this property as of now. However, bitcoin can be taken to any place you wish without any restriction, you just need a device to hold your transactions.
So, because of the above-mentioned properties, bitcoin is considered as digital gold. Considering the ecosystem is being shifted to the internet & a global currency with some intrinsic value attached to it & is limited in availability, bitcoin holds a higher position than gold.
How bitcoin is generated?
bitcoin is generated through the process of mining. Just like one has to mine earth to find gold, in Bitcoin protocol many people compete with each other to solve a cryptographic problem. The process of solving a problem & in return getting a reward is known as mining. The fastest computer to solve the problem is rewarded with bitcoins. For solving a block miner receives 6.25 bitcoin (as of now). This reward will automatically be reduced to half every 4 years & this process of halving reward is known as bitcoin halving. This is an important concept, as this makes it a deflationary asset rather than an inflationary asset which is in the case of fiat currency or paper currency.
The whole process of solving a problem is automatic & done through the computing power of the CPU. So, when one a miner solves the problem & shares the solution, other miners validate the same & if found appropriate the transaction is captured in the blockchain. The whole process usually takes 10 min on average & the whole process is automated. So, no one can deny anyone a reward as there are enough nodes to verify the transaction.
How is bitcoin useful?
1) Connecting the unbanked:
bitcoin is the best performing use case for poor, helpless people. Maybe not so much for people who are banked but for those who are unbanked. Most of the unbanked people are not considered by the banks as they are not profitable enough. bitcoin solves this problem massively. You don’t need a KYC, credit history, or any other document but a mobile phone to download the protocol & you are connected to the bitcoin universe. It is as simple as sending an email.
2) Remittance:
International remittance is a huge business & it takes 5% to 30% as a fee to send money from one country to another depending on the receiving country & service provider. 4) Double spending:
Banks spend people saving money without their knowledge that creates a liquidity issue. Recently, India has seen many banks not allowing people to take out their savings & capped the withdrawals. Spending money that is not there or spending it again is the core of double-spending. Blockchain solves this problem, as it doesn’t allow you to keep money with yourself once you made a transaction. That means once you made a transaction, the same amount will be deducted from your account & will be reflected in other accounts & you can spend what is not there.
6) Asset:
The only reliable asset is gold in today’s world. Although everyone has his/her way of solving a thing; he has his. This book will teach you about the different aspects of management & how you can behave in each situation. This should not be treated as a playbook but as a guide book that will help you maneuver through rough terrains. This book has a special mention of legends like Andy Grove & Ben Campbell, both of which have books on their style of management.
How often one has heard the phrase believing is becoming. This book is one such book that doubles down on the concept. A self-help book will pour positivity inside you & will plead you to think big. A book which will help you to cover all the aspects of life & how to deal with each situation. There are so many magical lessons to be learned from this book, not only learn but also to implement it. The E Myth is a book about small businesses that vanishes within 5 years after the start of the operation & this figure is more than 80% which is astonishing. A person starts a company being a technician(a person who is good at building things) but this is not enough. To start a successful business, the person should be an entrepreneur (vision for the company) & manager (how to interconnect different stages of the business efficiently). Once a person can figure out the difference & work on it. He or she can move to the next step which is setting up of different processes that can help you to operate it without flaws & also replicate it anywhere. I think most of the lessons will be available online. However, if you want to get to specific examples can read this book.
Wars are fought on many fronts & with everyone capable of one nuclear bomb, bombing & vanishing in the thin air of hydrogen is not a solution. However, another front is an economic one. The battle of economies & taking steps to win over other powerful nations. Whomsoever is having healthy currency will rule the world’s economy. US dollar is in the front since world war II. However, countries like China, Russia are planning something big. US dollar condition is on a ventilator & the world is thinking to go back to Gold standards. It is interesting to read about the current scenario of various currencies. A very interesting book that will teach about the world’s financial system & how it is being manipulated.
